CASE <br /> <br />REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY FROM E-1 EMPLOYMENT DISTRICT TO PLANNED <br />UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD); <br /> CASE OF BASALT PROPERTI~ES, LLP <br /> By: Patrick Trudgeon, AICP, Assistant Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Basalt Properties, LLP has received approval to construct two commercial buildings on 2.62 acres along <br />Basalt. N.W., south of Highway 116. As part of development, the subject property will be rezoned from <br />E-l, Employment to PUD, Planned Unit Development. On September 23, 2003, the City Council <br />adopted findings of fact supporting the rezoning and introduced the ordinance to rezone the property for <br />adoption. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) Site Location Map <br />b) Site Plan <br />c) Adopted Findings of Fact <br />d) Proposed Ordinance <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />P?operty owners located within 700 feet were notified of the proposed rezoning. State law requires that <br />the City notify property owners within 350 feet be notified. A public hearing regarding the rezoning was <br />held on August 4, 2003 by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As was previously mentioned, findings of fact were adopted and the ordinance was introduced at the <br />September 23, 2003 City Council meeting.
