tenant having a private entry to a multi-tenant building; and the <br />total area of such signs being displayed at or near the tenant's <br />entrance shall not exceed ten percent (10%) of the area of the <br />wall to which it is affixed. <br /> <br />2. Area Identification Signs: One (1) sign per development, not <br />to exceed eighty (80) square feet in area. <br /> <br />3. Temporary Signs: Refer to Section 170.053P. <br /> <br />4. Maximum Height of Free Standing Signs: Thirty-five (35) feet <br />above lot grade. <br /> <br />5. Private Traffic Directional Signs: Refer to Section <br />170.053M. <br /> <br />6. Minimum Setback: No part of a sign shall be within five (5) <br />feet of any property line. <br /> <br />PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS <br /> <br />Sign requirements in planned unit development areas would be <br />controlled by the council when the development is planned. <br /> <br />PERMITS <br /> <br />Before a sign may be displayed in the City of Ramsey, the owner <br />of the premises on which the sign is located shall file <br />application with the zoning officer for permission to display <br />such sign. Permits are required .for all existing, new, <br />relocated, modified or redesigned signs, except those <br />specifically exempt under Section 170.056C. <br /> <br />APPLICATION <br /> <br />1. Application for permits shall be made upon blanks provided by <br />the zoning officer and shall state or have attached thereto the <br />following information: <br /> <br />a. Name, address and telephone number of applicant; <br /> <br /> b. Location of building, structure or lot to which, or upon <br />which, the sign is to be attached or erected; <br /> <br /> c. Position of the sign or other advertising structures in <br />relation to the nearest buildings, structures, public streets, <br />right-of-ways and property lines. The drawing showing such <br />position shall be prepared "to scale"; <br /> <br /> d. Two (2) blueprints or ink drawings of the plans and <br />specifications, and method of construction or attachment to the <br />building or in the ground, including all dimensions, locating all <br />light sources, wattage, type and color of lights and details of <br />any light shields or shades; <br /> <br /> <br />
