Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-05- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING. BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE ELEVATED <br />STORAGE TANK CONTROLS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 87-19 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to 'an invitation for bids May 1, 1989 for <br />the elevated storage tank controls (Improvement Project 87-19) bids <br />were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement:- <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Bentec Eng. Corp. <br />McKinley/Hill Corp. <br /> <br />$14,750 <br />$16,200 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bentec Engineering Corp. <br />of Eden Prairie, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and city Administrator/Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to award a contract to Bentec Engineering <br />Corp. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the Elevated Storage <br />Tank Controls Improvement Project 87-19 according to the plans and <br />specifications prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the <br />office of the city Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and <br />two next lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been <br />signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of May, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
