This is a complicated problem involving not only control <br />of oak wilt but also the negative economic impact on property <br />values. <br /> <br />A meeting is planned for Thursday, May 18th , ?:00 - 9:00 pm at <br />the Bunker Hills Activities Center. Commissioners and city an~ <br />township administrators have been invited. <br /> <br />Our objective is to put together an orderly cost effective plan <br />to control oak ~ilt while maintaining property values and saving <br />our most vital natural resource. We need your ideas on ways that <br />the county and communities can work together and share resources <br />to control oak wilt. <br /> <br />Dr. David French, Professor~from the University of Minnesota will <br />be on hand to discuss the technical aspect of oak wilt and its <br />control. David Stephenson, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, <br />will discuss the results of the state oak wilt aerial survey, <br />which reveal the devastating situation' we face, and city <br />ordinances.
