Recommendations: <br /> <br />Both staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission concur with the Anoka <br />County Department of Transportation in minimizing the number of driveways <br />from County Roads. In response to this mutual concern to limit d~veways, staff <br />recommends that Council direct staff to proceed with the negotiated purchase of <br />necessary lands for the extension 180th Avenue Northwest to allow for the highest <br />and best use of Lot 4, Block i of the proposed Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition. <br />Furthermore, staff recommends that the subdivider incur all costs associated in <br />the negotiated purchase. If' the negotiated purchase proves to be unsuccessful, <br />that the City Council direct staff to proceed with emminent domain pending <br />concurrence of financial responsibility for the condemnation by the subdivider. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to direct/not direct City Staff to proceed with the negotiated purchase of <br />necessary lands for the extension of 180th Avenue Northwest and to proceed in the <br />event of successful purchase, the vacation of portions of the cul-de-sac, which <br />would become unnecessary in the event of the extension of 180th Avenue <br />Northwest.
