Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-05- RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR A PERIOD NOT EXCEEDING NINETY (90) DAYS FOR COLLEEN RYBAK WHEREAS, the labor agreement between the City of Ramsey and American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCivlEi, Council No. 14, Local No. 2454, provides for leaves of absence when granted by the employer (City of Ramsey); and WHEREAS, Colleen Rybak has requested a leave of absence due to maternity for a period of ninety (90) calendar days effective on or about June 5, 1989; and WHEREAS, the effective date of the leave will be determined by th6 employee's doctor; and WHEREAS, Colleen Rybak will first use any earned but not used vacation, compensatory, and sick leave and requests the remaining days as leave without pay; and WHEREAS, the employer does not contribute' toward the employee insurance allowance during unpaid leaves of absence; and WHEREAS, if requested by the employee, the City will extend employee insurance benefits during the unpaid leave, provided the employee makes payment of the actual insurance cost to the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1 ) That the City Council of Ramsey hereby approves Colleen Rybak's request for a ninety (90) calendar day leave of absence effective on or about June 5, 1989. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of May, 1989.
