Counci~member <br />moved for its adoptions: <br /> <br />i~tro~uced the lc!lowing resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~89-08- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING <br />BIDS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 89-16 (HE¥~TITE STREET) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City <br />Council on August 15, 1989, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. has <br />prepared plans and specifications ior the Improvement Project 89- <br />16, Hematite Street N.W., and has presented p~ans and <br />specifications to the Council for approval; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated construction cost of the improvements <br />is $8,800; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to M.S. 471.345 Subd. 4 an Advertisement for <br />Bids is only required if the estimated cost exceeds $15,000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, contracts under $15,000 may be made upon either <br />sealed bids or by direct negotiation. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approve~. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator shall request sealed bids in <br />conformance with M.S. 471.345 Subd 4. No bids will be considered <br />unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied <br />by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check <br />payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount <br />of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Counciimember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey city Council this the 15th day of August, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
