Counci~member moved for its adoptions: i~tro~uced the lc!lowing resolution and RESOLUTION ~89-08- RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING BIDS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 89-16 (HE¥~TITE STREET) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on August 15, 1989, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications ior the Improvement Project 89- 16, Hematite Street N.W., and has presented p~ans and specifications to the Council for approval; and, WHEREAS, the estimated construction cost of the improvements is $8,800; and WHEREAS, pursuant to M.S. 471.345 Subd. 4 an Advertisement for Bids is only required if the estimated cost exceeds $15,000; and WHEREAS, contracts under $15,000 may be made upon either sealed bids or by direct negotiation. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approve~. 2) The City Administrator shall request sealed bids in conformance with M.S. 471.345 Subd 4. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Counciimember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey city Council this the 15th day of August, 1989.
