Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #89-11- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION P, EADVERTISING FOR BIDS AND SETTING BID OPENING DATE FOR 1989 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS . PROJECT //89-18 <br />(HANDICAP ACCESSIBH.vI'Y IMPROVEMENTS TO RAMSEY GOVERN1VIEWr BUH.DINGS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has entered into an agreement with Anoka County for <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the City has authorized Graphic Design Architects to prepare plans and <br />specifications for the project; and .... <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Graphic Design Architects have submitted the plans and specifications to the <br />City Council on August 22, 1989; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the t/amsey City Council adopted Resolution #89-08-212 which accepted the <br />plans and specifications, instructed Graphic Design Architects to prepare and advertise for bids on <br />Items I through 15 and 17; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 26, 1989, the City of Ramsey received one bid from Mikke]son- <br />Wulff Construction in the amount of Twenty-one Thousand One Hundred Three Dollars <br />($21,103.00); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Architects estimate for said work was Ten Thousand Seven Hundred <br />Thirty Dollars ($10,730), which exceeds the 15% bid acceptance standard. <br /> <br />NOW TI-IEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COUNCI~L OF THE CITY OF ~EY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That Graphic Design Architects be instructed to prepare and advertise for bids <br /> Items i through 15 and 17 of the revised plans. <br /> <br /> 2. That the bid opening date be set for Thursday, December 14, 1989 at 11:00 a.m. in the <br /> City Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br /> N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow/ng voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the follovring abste/ned: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
