Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-11- RESOLUTION P, EADVERTISING FOR BIDS AND SETTING BID OPENING DATE FOR 1989 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS . PROJECT //89-18 (HANDICAP ACCESSIBH.vI'Y IMPROVEMENTS TO RAMSEY GOVERN1VIEWr BUH.DINGS) WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has entered into an agreement with Anoka County for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and WHEREAS~ the City has authorized Graphic Design Architects to prepare plans and specifications for the project; and .... WHEREAS, Graphic Design Architects have submitted the plans and specifications to the City Council on August 22, 1989; and WHEREAS, the t/amsey City Council adopted Resolution #89-08-212 which accepted the plans and specifications, instructed Graphic Design Architects to prepare and advertise for bids on Items I through 15 and 17; and WHEREAS, on October 26, 1989, the City of Ramsey received one bid from Mikke]son- Wulff Construction in the amount of Twenty-one Thousand One Hundred Three Dollars ($21,103.00); and WHEREAS, the Architects estimate for said work was Ten Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty Dollars ($10,730), which exceeds the 15% bid acceptance standard. NOW TI-IEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COUNCI~L OF THE CITY OF ~EY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That Graphic Design Architects be instructed to prepare and advertise for bids Items i through 15 and 17 of the revised plans. 2. That the bid opening date be set for Thursday, December 14, 1989 at 11:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303.
