Charter Commission <br />Meeting Date: 09/19/2013 <br />By: Jo Thieling, Administrative Services <br />Title: <br />Introduce New Charter Commission Member and Update Commission on Status of Vacancies <br />Background: <br />This case is to welcome our newest Charter Commission Member Eric Zaetsch. <br />Mr. Zaetsch is replacing Cindy Sherman whose term expired December 31, 2012. Mr. Zaetsch has been appointed <br />to a term of four years - term to expire December 31, 2016. <br />We currently have one vacancy on our Commission. It is for a four year term - set to expire December 31, 2016. <br />Following are the current members and terms: <br />Susan Anderson - term to expire 12/31/2013 <br />Jim Bendtsen - term to expire 12/31/2016 <br />Ben Deemer - term to expire 12/31/2013 <br />Joe Field - term to expire 12/31/2016 <br />John Niederhaus - term to expire 12/31/2013 <br />Harry Niska - term to expire 12/31/2014 <br />Chad Sivertson - term to expire 12/31/2013 <br />Eric Zaetsch - term to expire 12/31/2016 <br />Vacancy - term to expire 12/31/2016 <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff is recommending if Commissioners Anderson, Deemer, Niederhaus and Siverts desire to be reappointed, they <br />send a letter requesting same to the City Clerk - and directly to the Chief Judge of the Tenth Judicial Courts. <br />Funding Source: <br />N/A <br />Council Action: <br />No action necessary - for Commission Update. <br />Information <br />Form Review <br />Form Started By: Jo Thieling Started On: 09/13/2013 <br />Final Approval Date: 03/19/2012 <br />5.2. <br />
