<br />Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #13-07-120 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL ELECTION <br />ON JULY 30, 2013 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Special Election to elect a <br />Councilmember for Ward 1, on Tuesday, July 30, 2013; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for <br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the hourly rate of pay will be $9.00 for regular election judges and $9.50 for <br />chairs. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCI OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Special <br />Election to be held on July 30, 2013: <br /> <br />Marlene Kroll, Barbara Tokar, Carol Fedora-Myrick, Colleen Graber, Deb Koepsell, Roger <br />McCulley, Judith Olson, Gerri Wicht, Kevin Efram, Nancy Giddings, Jan Cameron, Eileen <br />Mevissen, and Bernard Wiklund. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Backous <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
