Tuesday, September 24, 2013 6:00 p.m. - City Council Work Session — Lake Itasca Room 7:00 p.m. - City Council - Council Chambers Preview of Next Week Council Update September 19, 2013 City Council Work Session (6:00 p.m. — LIR) - No dinner provided. • Receive Presentation by Leigh Lenzmeier, Chair of NorthStar Corridor Development Authority • Potential Future Business Park Land (Update Only) City Council (7:00 p.m. - CC) • Public Hearing and Levy of Assessments for Past -Due Charges on Municipal Utility Bills and Current Services Rendered • Public Hearing to Adopt Ordinance #13-17 to Amend 2013 Rates and Fees Related to Water Trunk and Existing Reimbursement Agreement • Authorize Staff to Obtain Bids and Establish the Construction Team for ElmCrest Park's Community Building • Ramsey puts a little fiber in its diet — As some of you are aware, the City of Ramsey has made the jump from our aging T1 lines to the new Anoka County Zayo Fiber Network. This will mean much faster internet and data speeds available to staff at all city facilities. Initial tests and responses have been glowing in the positive. The IT department would like to thank the City of Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Zayo, and LOGIS for helping this project, which has been in the works for well over a year. We're looking forward to the time, money, and energy this will save city staff in doing their duties. • Public Laserfiche service was unavailable for a portion of this week. We'd like everyone to know that cause has been identified and the service has been restored. • Theater comes to Ramsey. Northgate Church has informed the City that the Broadway On Site Theater Group will make the new Northgate Auditorium its home. This is a Youth Theater Group that has been active in the Anoka- Hennepin School District for a number of years. Its first performance will be A Christmas Carol on December 12 — 15, 2013. Save the Date: • Stoney River Groundbreaking. An incorrect date for the groundbreaking for Stoney River was listed under Mayor /Council /Staff Input on the 9/10 Council agenda. The correct date is Wednesday, September 25, at Lord of Life Church, 3:30 p.m.
