Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # 13-09-163 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING TRAIL GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR THE TRAIL ALONG <br />ANOKA COUNTY ROAD #83 (CENTRAL PARK TO ALPINE DRIVE TRAIL) <br />WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey supports the grant application made to the Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Resources for the Federal Recreational Trail Grant Program. The application is to <br />construct 1.2 miles of paved trail along Anoka County Highway #83. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey recognizes the fifty (50) percent match requirements for the <br />Federal Recreational Trail grant program, and has secured the matching funds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City of Ramsey is awarded a grant by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, <br />the City of Ramsey agrees to accept the grant award, and may enter into an agreement with the <br />State of Minnesota for the above referenced project. The City of Ramsey will comply with the <br />applicable laws, environmental requirements and regulations as stated in the grant agreement. <br />2) That the City of Ramsey hereby names the fiscal agent for the City for this project as: <br />Diana Lund, Finance Director <br />City of Ramsey <br />7550 Sunwood Drive NW <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br />3) That the City of Ramsey herby assures the Anoka County Highway #83 Trail will be maintained <br />for a period of no less than 20 years. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th <br />day of September, 2013. <br />Mayor <br />
