City Administrator Ulrich stated the City recently received notice that the QCCC would release <br />some capital funds. As a result, over next two years the City of Ramsey will be receiving <br />$100,000 to purchase equipment and make upgrades to improve the quality of broadcast. <br />Motion by Councilmember Backous, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to adopt Resolution <br />#13 -07 -121 Concerning the Commencement of Renewal Proceedings under the Federal Cable <br />Act. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Backous,- Kuzma, <br />LeTourneau, Riley, and Tossey. Voting No: None. <br />7.03: Receive Update on Highway 10 Access Study Group and Provide Comment on Draft <br />Problem Statement <br />Development Services Manager Gladhill presented an update relating to the Highway 10 Access <br />Study, goals of Mn/DOT, and draft problem statement. <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember LeTourneau, to adopt the <br />Highway 10 Access Study Policy Statements. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, LeTourneau, <br />Backous, Riley, and Tossey. Voting No: None. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />8.01: Budget Update <br />Finance Director Lund provided a presentation relating to the 2014 budget process. <br />Mayor Strommen stated the Council will be working on the preliminary 2014 budget until it is <br />adopted in September. <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced upcoming meetings, Ward 1 special election, and events. <br />Mayor Strommen reported on the Mayoral Round Table Meeting hosted by Senator Klobuchar <br />with newly appointed Transportation Commissioner Anthony Foxx. <br />9.
