The Organization will have substantial <br />involvement in the water quality management of water resources in this <br />category. <br /> <br />Mana£ed <br /> <br />Water resources in this category are typified by some or all of the <br />following characteristics: adjacent to local park; limited access to <br />the public through bike and/or pedestrian trails; lacks public swimming <br />beach; neighborhood pond with some adjacent public property; supports <br />substantial waterfowl; provides general wildlife habitat; locally <br />perceived by the public as valuable amenity; could be useful for <br />protecting downstream water quality; intermediate water resource; <br />existing or potential future erosion problems within directly tributary <br />watershed; used for stormwater control; located along or is part of <br />trunk conveyance system; known groundwater recharge area; maintenance <br />of existing water quality desirable objective; may require limited <br />public maintenance; and includes ponds, wetlands, regional stormwater <br />detention basins, streams and ditches. The water quality management of <br />resources in this category will generally be a local responsibility. <br /> <br />Preserved <br /> <br />Water resources in this category are typified by some or all of the <br />following characteristics: lacks public swimming beach; lack of <br />adjacent park lands; neighborhood pond with adjacent public property; <br />supports substantial waterfowl; provides general or unusual wildlife <br />habitat; easy access for maintenance or periodic restoration; minor <br />water resource used for stormwater control; access to public is limited; <br /> <br />2302047/LRRWMO.WP/SAM <br /> <br /> <br />
