Mr. McCrady met
with the City Assessor to determine economic impacts of the various
alternatives.

I have also met with DNR to determine wetland impacts and estimated
the costs of the alternative alignments and wetland mitigation.
The estimated costs of the construction, right-of-way and wetland
mitigation are shown on the enclosed summary of costs.

I have also made a comparison of the alternatives looking at other
factors including safety and alignment. This comparison gave each
factor the same value of importance. The council may wish to place

added value to one or more of the factors.
Enclosed are the following items:

1. Exhibit showing the alternatives.
2. Summary of estimated costs.
3. Comparison of alternatives.

Recommendations:

I would recommend that the council review the alternatives and
discuss the alternatives with City Staff. Upon discussion of the
alternatives, the Council may ~~. the prefer_/2e_d
alignments or table ~c~ lot a ~ dat~e~ ~he p~e~er~ed
alter~e will have to be _elected p~ior to proceeding wi~h an
Environmental Assessment Worksheet. 1/
couno

Action should be based on discussion at the council meeting.

Review Checklist:

city Administrator X
City Attorney X
city Engineer X
Community Development Dir.

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Public Works Supt.
Other
