CASE # 4 <br /> <br />REQUEST TO REZONE TIlE PROPOSED PLAT OF CEDAR HILLS <br />FROM R-I RURAL RESIDENTIAL TO R-I URBAN RESIDENTIAL: <br />CASE OF MR. WALLY ANDERSON; ARADCO, INC. <br /> By: Planning Assistanl Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Wally Anderson is requesting approval to rezone the proposed plat of Cedar Hills from R-1 <br />Rural Residential to R-I Urban Residential. The subject property is approximately 54.6 acres in <br />size and is located east of Hunter's Hill. <br /> <br />In September of 1988, Mr. Anderson submitted a subdivision application to the City, proposing <br />the extension of sewer and water utilities and developing the property with 115 single family <br />residential lots. Although the subject property was within the Urban Area, it was not within the <br />1990 Urban Area. To extend municipal services to the proposed Cedar Hills required an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan for an expansion of the MUSA boundaries. On January <br />26, 1989, the City submitted a formal application to the Metropolitan Council for a MUSA <br />expansion. On Jul5, 13, 1989, the City can received approval of it's application for a <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment to expand the MUSA boundary. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On Jul), 10, 1989, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing regarding the <br />request to rezone Cedar Hills to R-1 Urban Residential.
