BRET SCOTT; COMMERCIAL DOG KENNEL <br />7910 173RD AVENUE N.W. <br /> PIN #09-32-25-22-¢}001 <br /> 7/19/89 <br /> <br />That Mr. Bret Scott, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied for a <br />conditional use permit to operate a commercial dog kennel in the R-1 Rural Residential <br />District. <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission for a <br />public hearing pursuant to Sections 110.0319 and 170.013D of the Ramsey City Code on <br />July 10, 1989 and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of <br />said pubic hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />That the subject property is generally known as 7910 173rd Avenue N.W. and is legally <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 32, <br />Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota described as follows: Beginning at a point on the <br />North line of said Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter a distance 400 feet East of the <br />Northwest corner of said Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter, then South and parallel <br />with the West line of said Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter a distance of 300 feet, <br />then East and parallel with the North line of said Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter <br />to the West line of the East 165 feet of the West 60 acres of the Northwest Quarter of said <br />Section 6, Township 32, Range 25; then North along said West line of said East 165 feet <br />of the West 60 acres of said Northwest Quarter to the North line of the said Northwest <br />Quarter of Northwest Quarter, then West along said North line to the point of beginning <br />except road; subject to easement of record. <br /> <br />That the subject property is located in the R-1 Rural Residential District and is <br />approximately 3 acres in size. <br /> <br />That the adjacent properties are also zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is requesting a conditional use permit to operate a commercial dog <br />kennel on the subject property. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that he will keep no more than ten (10) dogs on the subject <br />property with a separate kennel provided for each dog. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that the kennel operation will involve hunting and obedience <br />training during the summer months and year around boarding facilities. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that the kennels will be placed in a wooded area of the lot to <br />minimize the noise level. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that there is a distance of approximately 100 yards between <br />the proposed kennel operation and the nearest neighboring residence. <br /> <br />That the Police Chief has stated no objection to a commercial kennel operation other than to <br />predict that it has the potential to become a noise nuisance problem in the neighborhood. <br /> <br />That the proposed use will increase traffic coming to and from the subject property. <br /> <br /> <br />
