By: Peter Raatikka, City Engineer Background: On September 13, 1988, City Council passed a resolution requesting cooperative agreement funds for the signal revisions at T.H. No. 10 and Sunfish Lake Blvd N.W. from Mn/DOT. We prepared the required justification report and plans which were approved by the Mn/DOT District Five office this spring. The District Five office also told us to proceed with bids which were received on May 26, 1989. Since that time, the Mn/DOT Central office requested additional changes in the plans. These changes have been made and the plans have been approved by the Mn/DOT Central office. We anticipate receiving a Cooperative Construction Agreement and a resolution to enter into the agreement from Mn/DOT prior to the July 25, 1989 Council Meeting. I will also prepare a change order to cover the additional revisions and costs requested by Mn/DOT Central office. Enclosed is a proposed resolution receiving bids and awarding the contract for the signal revisions to Ridgedale Electric Inc. Recommendation: I would recommend that the city Council adopt the resolution from Mn/DOT for Cooperative Agreement funds. I would also recommend City Council adopt the resolution awarding the Contract to Ridgedale Electric Inc. and approve Change Order No. 1. Council Action: Adopt resolution to enter into Agreement No. with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation to obtain payment of the States's share of the costs of the signal revisions at T.H. No. 10 and Sunfish Lake Blvd. and Adopt Resolution 89-07- accepting bids for Improvement Project 88-26 and awarding a contract to Ridgedale Electric, Inc. for such improvement. and
