SECTION 3. AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE C!TY <br /> <br />All work shall be done under the general supervision of City. City shall decide s. ny and all <br />queslions that may arise as to the quality and acceptability of the materials iurnished, work <br />performed, rate of progress of the work, and questions as Io the acceptable fulfil~ment of the <br />contract on the part of Contractor. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. <br /> <br />CONTRACTORS OPERATION~ <br /> <br />Contractor shall provide a "disc" type chipper capable of producing chips of <br />sufficient qualily to be used for park trials and tree mulching purposes. The chips <br />produced at each homeowner's site shall remain th~- property of the homeowner and shall <br />be left on 1he premises unless the homeowner indicates otherwise. In the event the <br />homeowner does not want the chips, contractor shall haul the chips to Rum River Boy <br />Scout camp unless the City's representative directs contractor otherwise. <br /> <br />Contractor shall take all necessary precautions so as to insure the safety of the public. <br />Contractor shall at all times perform the work so as to insure the least possible <br />obstruction to traffic or inconvenience to the general public and the residents of the <br />vicinity o! the work and lo insure the protection of persons and property in a <br />manner satisfactory to the project coordinator. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />Contractor shall preform the wood chipping services at the addresses listed on <br />Attachment A. The service shall be provided between the dates of June 7, 1989 and <br />October 15, 1989. Hours of operation shall be Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to <br />5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Contractor shall clear away all debris resulting from his work and/or operation other <br />than as provided in Section 1.05(A) leaving the site in clean condition. <br /> <br />Contractor shall be expected 1o perform the service at least two (2) and up 1o six <br />(6) days a week under special circumstances (storm damage, fire hazard, disease <br />control, etc.) <br /> <br />SECTION 5. .COORDINATION <br /> <br />The Contractor shall coordinate eflorts under this contract with City. City's designated field <br />representative for this program is James Gromberg, Project Manager. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. INSURANCE <br /> <br />Prior to the commencement of this Agreement, the Contractor shall furnish City certificates or <br />copies of the following policies of insurance, approved by the City Administrator, showing that <br />such insurance is in force. All endorsements shall apply to both bodily injury or death and <br />property damage coverage. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
