Case <br /> <br /> INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />PROVISIONS OF THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM CHAPTER <br /> <br />By: Merland Otto <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On July 13, 1989, Metropolitan Council approved the City's request <br />for expansion of the MUSA area. As a condition of approval, the <br />city agreed to amend certain provisions of its City Code pertaining <br />to on-site treatment systems. This amendment amends the <br />requirements for dosing devices for pressure distribution systems, <br />replaces Final Treatment and Disposal - Standard Systems and <br />Alternative systems. The amendment was prompted by revisions to <br />Minnesota Chapter 7080 regarding rapidly permeable soils and mound <br />systems which were adopted in 1988 and 1989. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends the introduction of the amendment to Chapter <br />150.01 known as the Sewage Disposal System Chapter of the City <br />Code. <br /> <br />Council action: <br /> <br />Motion to introduce/not introduce Ordinance ~89- which amends the <br />subsection pertaining to on site treatment systems of Section <br />150.01 of the Ramsey City Code; known as the Sewage Disposal System <br />Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />city Administrator x <br />City Attorney x <br />city Engineer x <br />Community Development Dir. x <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Planning & Zoning <br />Other <br /> <br />x <br /> <br /> <br />
