Sale of merchandise or ser%-ices by a peddler, solicitor or vendor by means of statements which the person making them knows or should know are false or misleading; e. Sale of merchandise by a peddler, solicitor or vendor, which merchandise i~ not of merchantable quality or ia not fit for the purpose for which the seller knows, or ha~ reason to know, the merchandise is being purchased; f. Engaging in peddling or soliciting after the hour of 9:00 p.m. or before 9:00 a.m. unless a previous appointment has been made. USE OF DEVICES TO ATTRACT ATTENTION PROHIBITED No person, licensed under this article, shall call attention to hie business or to his merchandise by crying out, by blowing a horn, by ringing a bell or by any loud or unusual noise. CARRYING AND DISPLA~ All licenses issued under this article shall be carried by the licensee or conspicuou£1y posted in his place of business and such licensee shall, whenever requested, show the license to any officer or citizen who demands to see the same. xm~smmNT C~NT~S APPLICATION OF CHAPTEE The provisions of Chapter 130.01 shall apply to the issuance of licenses hereunder. DEFINITION An. "amusement center" is hereby defined to be any establishment which utilizes in its operation amusement devices, including but not limited to pool tables, table tennis, shuffle board, or any mechanical device, and whose principal source of revenue is derived from such devices, but shall not include bowling alleys. LICENSE REQUIRED No person shall operate au amusement center without having secured a license to operate the same. ~ne license shall be issued by the city clerk after appreval of same by the city council.
