COUNTY OF ANOKA
Department of Highways
Paul K. Ruud, Highway Engineer
1440 BUNKER LAKE BLVD NW, ANDOVER, MINNESOTA 55304 612-754-3520

May 19, 1989

Merila & Associates
8401-73rd Avenue North, Suite 63
Brooklyn Park, Mn. 55428-1293

Attention: Stephen J. Gerster, E.I.T.

Re: Preliminary Plat for Alicia Addition

Dear Mr. Gerster:

We have reviewed the sketch plan for the plat of Alicia
Addition, located on County Roads 63 and 83 in the City of
Ramsey.

Right-of-way dedication along both county highways should
be 60 feet vice the 33 shown on County Road 83 and the 50 feet
shown on County Road 63. If at some time in the future this
segment of County Road 83 gets returned to local jurisdiction,
the city at that time may be willing to vacate the right-of-
way back to the 33 foot point, however at this time it is
still a County Highway and should have the larger right-of-way
dedicated.

Ail lots which have city street frontage should have
driveway access to the city street and the right of access to
the County Highway dedicated to Anoka County. This will
result in 2 driveways to the County Highway System. Both cf
these driveways should access the existing County Road 83.
The northerly most lot along County Road 83 should access the
highway near the south lot line to keep the driveway away from
the highway intersection. The new city streets should be
constructed such that the drainage will not enter the County
Highway but instead the ditches along the sides.

Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
