Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #13-09-163 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING TRAIL GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR THE TRAIL ALONG ANOKA COUNTY ROAD #83 (CENTRAL PARK TO ALPINE DRIVE TRAIL) WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey supports the grant application made to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the Federal Recreational Trail Grant Program. The application is to construct 1.2 miles of paved trail along Anoka County Highway #83. WHEREAS , the City of Ramsey recognizes the fifty (50) percent match requirements for the Federal Recreational Trail grant program, and has secured the matching funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey is awarded a grant by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the City of Ramsey agrees to accept the grant award, and may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above referenced project. The City of Ramsey will comply with the applicable laws, environmental requirements and regulations as stated in the grant agreement. 2) That the City of Ramsey hereby names the fiscal agent for the City for this project as: Diana Lund, Finance Director City of Ramsey 7550 Sunwood Drive NW Ramsey, MN 55303 3) That the City of Ramsey hereby assures the Anoka County Highway #83 Trail will be maintained for a period of no less than 20 years. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Backous, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Backous Councilmember Johns Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Riley Councilmember Tossey and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
