No. 10 Along Sunfish Lake Blvd.

Dear Council Members:

In accordance with your advertisement for bids on the above
referenced project, three (3) bids were received and opened at
11:00 a.m., October 10, 1989. The bids are shown below in order
of the lowest bidder first.

Bidder

Amount of Bid

EJM Pipe Services, Inc.
Barbarossa & Sons, Inc.
Northdale Construction Co.

$82,991.30
$84,876.00
$87,132.00

The engineer's estimated feasibility cost for the project was
$86,500.00. The total low bid received is approximately 4% below
the engineer's feasibility estimate.

The low bidder, EJM Pipe Services has satisfactorily completed
projects in the metropolitan area. We, therefore, recommend that
the project be awarded to the low bidder in the amount of
$82,991.30. As indicated in the agenda, this project is partially
funded with state funds. Therefore, the award must be contingent
on Mn/DOT approval of the bids.

222 Monroe Street
Anoka, Minnesota 55303

612/427-5860

Fax 612/427-3401

Eugene ].
