Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION #89-10- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR TRUNK STORM SEWER EXTENSION AT SUNFISH LAKE BLVD. AND T.H. NO. 10 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 88-27. WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 88-27 bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisements: Bidder Amount of Bid EJM Pipe Services, Inc. Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. Northdale Construction $82,991.30 $84,876.00 $87,132.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that EJM Pipe Services, Inc. of Lino Lakes, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with EJM Pipe Services, Inc. for $82,991.30 in the name of the City of Ramsey for Improvement Project 88-27 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. 2) The award of the project shall be contingent on Mn/DOT approval of the bids. 3) The city Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolutions was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 10th day of October, 1989.
