Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-10- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR STORM SEWER <br />CONSTRUCTION AT WHISPERING PINES ESTATES IMPROVEMENT PROJ. 89-19 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement <br />Project 89-19 bids were received, opened and tabulated according <br />to law, and the following bids were received complying with the <br />advertisement: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Alternate Bid <br /> <br />Forest Lake Contracting <br />CCS Contracting <br />O&P Contracting <br />S&K Excavating <br />Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. <br />Old is Gold Construction <br />W.B. Miller, Inc. <br /> <br />$16,656.00 <br />$19,830.00 <br />$21,768.00 <br />$22,153.00 <br />$22,266.00 <br />$23,120.00 <br />$23,142.00 <br /> <br />$14,858.00 <br />$17,815.00 <br />$18,358.00 <br />$21,223.00 <br />$20,406.00 <br />$20,020.00 <br />$20,662.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. of <br />Forest Lake, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of <br />$14,858.00 with Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. of Forest Lake, <br />Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey for Improvement Project <br />89-19 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved <br />by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City <br />Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and <br />next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been <br />signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolutions was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the 10th day of October, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
