Banwart, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Cross of Hope Lutheran Church is proposing a 4.30 acre cemeters,. The property is located <br />on the South 475 feet of the West 10 acres of the East 20 acres of Lot 1, Auditor's Subdivision <br />Number 27, Anoka Count),, Minnesota. For your information, the following items are enclosed: <br /> <br />Ao <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Proposed subdivision <br />Proposed Resolution <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On September 27, 1989, the City of Ramsey received an application and plat layout from Pastor <br />Dale Olson, Cross of }-lope Lutheran Church. <br /> <br />This plat is in conformance with Minnesota Statutes 307.01. <br /> <br />In accordance with Ramsey City Code 701.0317 Division or Consolidation of Unplatted Lands, <br />Subsection 2 Platting Procedure: and Subsection 5. The City Staff has reviewed the plat and has <br />placed the proposed plat on the Cit'), Council agenda. <br /> <br />Recommendations: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that because of the uniqueness of this plat as being a cemetery, and in <br />conformance with Ramsey City Code 170.0317 Division or Consolidation of Unplatted Lands, it <br />is not necessary for neither the Park and Recreation Commission or the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission to review this plat. Furthermore, staff recommends that since it is inappropriate for a <br />cemetery to have park dedication required of it, park dedication should be waived.
