PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, <br />October 3, 1989 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen BDd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota regarding Mr. Harley Gordon's request for preliminary plat approval of <br />Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />b, ir. Terry Henflriksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Dixector Mark Banwan <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mr. Roy Shumway <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:39 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mark Banwan stated that since the preparation of the October 3, 1989 Planning and Zoning <br />Commission meeting agenda, Air. Gordon has elected to revise the proposed subdivision to <br />one of 3 lots versus 7 lots. <br /> <br />Jean Hoffman - 9500 180th Avenue N.W. - Inquired as to how reducing the the number of <br />lots to 3 changes the layout of the plat. <br /> <br />Harley Gordon - Stated that the two new lots created would be accessed by an existing <br />driveway onto Ct>,. Rd. #22. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that 180th will remain as a cul-de-sac and not be extended as a <br />through street into Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Patty Koenig - 9430 180th Avenue NY, V. - Stated that with the plat proposed as 7 lots, she <br />was concerned wdth the removal of the cul-de-sac and extending 180th Avenue to access <br />the plat. <br /> <br />Richard Haxa'illa - 9421 180th Avenue N.W. - Stated that he wants 180th to remain a cul- <br />de-sac and doesn't want it revised as a through street. <br /> <br />Bruce Ward - 9511 180~ Avenue N.W. - Stated that he moved to the area recently and a <br />large pan of his decision was based on ~ne fact that 18~h is a cul-de-sac and not a tThrough <br />street and he prefers that i: remain that way. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Cornmission Public Hem-in,October 3, 1989 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
