MEMORANDUM

DATE:

December 1, 1989

TO:

FROM:

City Councilmembers
City Administrator
Sandra Ashley, Finance Officer~

SUBJECT: UPDATE ON STATUS OF SAC REFUNDS

Letters to all property owners eligible for this refund will be
mailed today. A copy of the notification letter is attached. Also
attached is a listing of the eligible property owners.

The refund amounts range from $425 to $475 per unit. We expect the
refund checks to be mailed to the property owners within 2-3 weeks
after receipt of request for same.

Prior to issing a refund check, the finance office records will be
checked for outstanding fire bills. If a fire bill is outstanding,
the property owner will receive a check for the difference between
the amount of the fire bill and the refund. In the event a fire bill
or.bills exceed the refund amount, the property owner will be notified
that the refund has been applied to the fire bill account.

The Finance Office will prepare another update for the first regular
council meeting in 1990.
