Grading <br /> <br />bb. <br /> <br />CC. <br /> <br />dd. <br /> <br />ee. <br /> <br />gg. <br /> <br />hh. <br /> <br />The placement, removal or movement of earth by use of mechanical <br />equipment on a property. <br /> <br />Grubbing <br /> <br />Removal of all structures, vegetation, utilities, facilities, and other material <br />from a site. ~ <br /> <br />Hazard or Nuisance <br /> <br />Any tree with an infectious disease or insect problem; dead or dying trees; a <br />tree or limb(s) tat obstruct street lights, traffic signs, the free passage of <br />pedestrians or vehicles; a tree that poses a threat to safety. <br /> <br />Hedge <br /> <br />A row of closely planted shrubs or low growing trees forming a fence or <br />boundary. <br /> <br />Development Activity <br /> <br />Any alteration of the natural environment that requires the approval of a <br />development or site plan and issuance of a development permit. <br />Development Activity shall also include the "thinning" or removal of trees <br />from any undeveloped land, including that carried out in conjunction with a <br />forest management program, and the removal of trees incidental to the <br />development of land or to the marketing of land for development. <br /> <br />Landscape Plan <br /> <br />The design and specifications for the placement of any live plant materials <br />such as trees, shrubs, ground cover and grasses; and human-made structures <br />such as walls, fences, and berms, including the retention of existing <br />vegetation for the purposes of enhancing property value and aesthetics; <br />protecting the community's environment; and minimizing negative impact <br />on visual order of the community. <br /> <br />Landscaping <br /> <br />The use of natural plant materials including but not limited to, ground <br />covers, shrubs, and trees (deciduous and evergreen). Landscaping also <br />involves the placement, preservation and maintenance of such plant <br />materials and includes such elements as fences, walls, lighting and earth <br />mounding. <br /> <br />Pruning <br /> <br />Page 21 of 24 <br /> <br /> <br />
