Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-12- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENTS FOR MUTUAL FIRE-AID WITH THE CITIES OF ELK RIVER, <br />ANOKA, ANDOVER, HAM LAKE, OAK GROVE, ST. FRANCIS AND COON <br />RAPIDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 26, 1989 the Ramsey Fire Board reviewed the need <br />to enter into a mutual fn'e-aid agreement with neighboring cities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Ramsey Fire Board that the City <br />Council authorized Fire Chief Bruce Hoeke, Mayor Gary Reimann and City Administrator David <br />Hartley to seek and enter into agreements for mutual fire-aid with the Cities of Elk River, Anoka, <br />Andover, Ham Lake, Oak Grove, St. Francis and Coon Rapids. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to enter into joint <br />powers agreements for mutual fire-aid with the Cities of Elk River, Anoka, Andover, Ham Lake, <br />Oak Grove, St. Francis and Coon Rapids. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 19th day of December, 1989. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
