AUTHORIZE RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION AND <br /> ORDER PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />153RD AVENUE N.W. (CSAH NO. 5 TO RAKSEY BLVD.) <br /> By: Pete Raatikka, city Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mn/DOT has approved the right-of-way plans for 153rd Avenue N.W. <br />between CSAH No. 5 and Ramsey Blvd. <br /> <br />To proceed with the project, the City should authorize the City <br />Attorney to acquire the right-of-way by direct negotiation or <br />condemnation and order preparation of plans and specifications. <br /> <br />Enclosed is a copy of the letter from Mn/DOT dated December 12, <br />1989 approving the right-of-way plans, a resolution authorizing <br />acquisition of right-of-way and a resolution ordering plans and <br />specifications. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Since the EAW has been completed and no additional studies are <br />required, I recormmend that the council adopt the proposed <br />resolutions. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Adopt Resolution %89-12- authorizing the City Attorney to <br />acquire the right-of-way for the project by direct negotiation or <br />eminent domain. <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Adopt Resolution #89-12- authorizing the City Engineer to <br />prepare plans and specifications for Street Improvement Project <br />~89-4 (153rd Avenue N.W.). <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator X <br />City Attorney <br />City Engineer X <br />Community Development Dir. <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Supt. <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
