Councilrnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #I3-08-130 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUNTY HOUSING AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (HRA) ALLOCATE $23,000 OF ITS 2013 LEVY <br />TOWARD THE DEMOLITION OF 6710 HIGHWAY 10 AND 6203 RIVLYN AVENUE <br />IN THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br />WHEREAS, annually the Anoka County HRA levies an HRA levy on Ramsey residents; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the levy has been used to help in funding certain development projects <br />within the City of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is requesting that the Anoka County HRA utilize its <br />available tax levy in the amount of $14,000 for the demolition (which includes well capping and <br />asbestos removal if necessary) at 6710 Highway 10 NW, a project that is deemed a high priority <br />for our community; and <br />WHEREAS, the total requested funds from the Anoka County HRA for 6710 Highway <br />10 NW will be in the amount of $375,000 ($361,000 requested June 25, 2013 and $14,000 <br />August 8, 2013). <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is requesting that the Anoka County HRA utilize its <br />available tax levy in the amount of $9,000 for the demolition (which includes well capping and <br />asbestos removal if necessary) at 6203 Rivlyn Avenue NW, a project that is deemed a high <br />priority for our community; and <br />WHEREAS, the total requested funds from the Anoka County HRA for 6203 Rivlyn <br />Avenue NW will be in the amount of $107,000 ($98,000 requested February 12, 2013 and <br />$9,000 August 8, 2013). <br />WHEREAS, the City is committed to maintaining and developing a healthy commercial <br />district within the City for the benefit of all. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the request to the Anoka County HRA to <br />allocate $23,000 of its 2013 levy toward the demolition of 6710 Highway 10 NW and <br />6203 Rivlyn Avenue NW in Ramsey, Minnesota <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmernber <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
