Highway 10 Access Study (2013) <br />Ramsey Policy Statements <br />The City of Ramsey has adopted the following policy statements to guide input on the Highway 10 <br />Access Study (2013) and supports the following: <br />• Ramsey asserts that it is important to acknowledge the fact that the local communities' ultimate <br />vision is to convert U.S. Highway 10 to freeway status. <br />• Ramsey acknowledges the benefit of this current study and will work collaboratively with agency <br />partners to develop successful implementation to achieve the goals of the study, but desires to <br />continue to work with Mn/DOT beyond this current study to continue to update current <br />development and fiscal plans to advance the conversion to a freeway system. <br />• Ramsey supports interim improvements that can successfully demonstrate improvements to <br />pedestrian safety, overall mobility, and congestion mitigation, provided that said interim <br />improvements do not negatively impact the ultimate vision of a conversion to freeway status <br />and done so in a fiscally responsible manner. <br />
