The Task Force <br /> <br /> The Metropolitan Local Water Management Task Force was established by Ar- <br />ticle 9 of the 1989 Groundwater Protectmn Act. <br /> <br /> The law provided for the appointment of 22 Task Force members. The member- <br />ship included six legislators, three members of the Board of Water and Soil Resour- <br />ces (BWSR) and one citizen at large. The remainder of the membership included <br />one (13 member representing each of the following agencies and associations: the As- <br />sociation of Metropolitan Municipalities, the Minnesota Association of Watershed <br />Districts, the Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Watershed <br />Management Organizations, the Association of Minnesota Counties, the Metro <br />Inter-County Association, the Consulting Engineers Council, the Reinvest in Min- <br />nesota CoaI[tion, the State Planning Agency, the Department of Natural Resources, <br />the Pollution Control Agency and the Metropolitan Council.
