Councilme~tber <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-02- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING APPLICATION FOR A COOPERATIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR <br />RESOURCE ENHANCEMENT (C.O.R.E.) PROGRAM FISHING PIER IN RIVER'S <br />BEND PARK. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has supported <br />the development of recreation facilities at River's Bend Park, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, facility improvements at the park were undertaken in <br />1988 and 1989, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to enhance outdoor recreation. <br />activities within the park for disabled and physically limited <br />individuals, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council allocated up to $136,000 in 1989 for <br />further enhancement of the park including landscaping, <br />establishment of native prairie, vehicle access, handicapped and <br />seniors' parking and installed paved trails in the park including <br />those elements required for a fishing pier. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City desires to enhance recreational <br />opportunities within the park. <br /> <br />fishing <br /> <br />2) That Merland Otto of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. shall <br />submit supplementary supporting documents to the Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Resources for a CORE grant for construction <br />and installation of a fishing pier. <br /> <br />3) That the City will enter into necessary agreements with DNR <br />for the routine maintenance, insurance and operation of the pier <br />upon notification of approval from the DNR. <br /> <br />4) That at the February 13, 1990 meeting, the city Council <br />designated that two business contributions of $500 each ($1000 <br />total) be applied as a community cost share portion for the fishing <br />pier. <br /> <br />5) That the City Council further authorizes herein up to <br />$ for cost sharing for the fishing pier project and that <br />these funds would be expended from the park trust fund (Fund #805). <br /> <br /> <br />
