Its main <br />ptu-pose to to idemtify and study issues facing the disabled, such as architectural and <br />attitudinal barriers. It advocates soc~l and envirconmutal changes and tries to obtain <br />~ty support for implementing these changes. <br /> <br />-NSCAH members - Bt the request of the City of Ramsey - were <br />involved with the design of the River Bend Park located in <br />Ramsey. A Section of the park is designed especially to <br />accommodate the elderly and persons with disabilities. <br /> <br />It is our understanding that Ramsey is applying for funding <br />through the CooPerative Opportunties for Resource Enchancement <br />C.O.R.E. Program to build a fishing pier in the park <br />accessible to the e~derly and ~isabled persons. <br /> <br />On behalf of. NSCAH we. wholeheartly give our support for this <br />project.
