Oen'rNA]~CX #83- <br /> <br /> CITY OF RA~SEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF HINNE$OTA <br /> <br />ADOPTION 0F CHAPTER lO.Il RHICH SHALL BE KNORN AS THE RAHSEY AIRPORT <br />COHHISSION CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAHSEY, HINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 10.11 TO THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />10.Ill EST~LIS~IHENT OF CO~O~ISSION: <br /> <br />An Airport Commmlssion for the City of Ramsey is hereby' established. <br />The Comm~s61on shall be the City's Airport Commission and shall <br />hereafter be referred to as "AC". <br /> <br />10.112 PURPOSE: <br /> <br />The purpose of the AC will be to study the feasibility of the presently <br />privately owned Gateway North Airport becoming a City owned municipal <br />airport. The study should' include consideration and findings on all <br />aspects and ramifications of creating Gateway North into a City owned <br />municipal airport including but not limited to the following subjects: <br /> <br />a) The economic benefit and/or detriment to be derived from <br /> having a municipal airport in the City. <br /> <br />b) The expense necessary to create Gateway North into a <br /> municipal airport. <br /> <br />c) The alernative financing and sources of revenue available to <br /> create a municipal airport. <br /> <br />d) The projected ongoing maintenance expense to the City of a <br /> municipal airport. <br /> <br />e) The projected operating revenues form a municipal airport. <br /> <br />f) The Health and Safety impact of a municipal airport. <br /> <br />g) The potential educational opportunities that can be derived <br /> from a municipal airport. <br /> <br />h) The function of a Fixed Based Operator at a municipal <br /> airport. <br /> <br />i) The effect of a municipal airport on existing land uses in <br /> the vicinity of Gateway North Airport. <br /> <br /> <br />
