This list is not complete and does <br />not include rinks, building and vehicle maintenance, daily water tests, curb stop locating, meter <br />readings, sanding, plowing, street department duties and other day-to-day functions. <br /> <br />Also, as you may know, the remote water meter reader system has given the Building Inspections,. <br />Finance and Utilities Departments a lot of grief from the very start. Thanks to a final burst of <br />energy and perseverance by Grant Riemer, we have all, and I repeat al__!l, of the remote meter <br />readers in working order. <br /> <br />Beginning in March, I will provide an hourly breakdown in addition to this type of list. <br /> <br /> 1. Implemented system to save 40 to 60 hours per week on rinks. Not only does this fi'ee up <br /> time for other tasks, it does a much better job and eliminates hours each day shoveling ice <br /> shavings on glare ice. <br /> <br /> 2. Performed park safety inspections. <br /> <br /> 3 Replaced swing chains and bushings in all parks. <br /> 4 Made gate for Fire Department at Central Park. <br /> 5 Prepared Autumn Heights play structure for final assembly by residents. <br /> 6 Installed phone at Park Center meeting area. <br /> 7 Trimmed trees. <br /> <br /> 8 Repaired parking lot and soffit light timer at Park Center. _ <br /> 9 Repaired top rail on tennis courts at Titterud Park. <br /> <br /> 10. Built shelves at Park Center for hats and coats, soccer and tennis nets, tools and chemicals, <br /> and one for the office. <br /> <br /> 11. Built work bench at Park Center. <br /> <br /> 12. Refurbished turf around concession stand. <br /> <br /> 13. Removed dead trees and brush at Ramsey Terrace, Central Park and park land west of <br /> Wolfram Street N.W. <br /> <br />14. Burned brush and road debris. <br /> <br /> <br />
