Councilmember introduced the following resolution and mox cd for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-02- RESOLUTION OFFICIALLY PROCLAIMING MARCH 12 TO MARCIt 18, 1990 AS CAMP FIRE BIRTHDAY WEEK IN THE CITY OF RAMSEY WHEREAS, Camp Fire, the national youth organization, will be celebrating its 80th birthday on March 17, 1990; and WHEREAS, the Minneapolis Camp Fire Council, City of Ramsey, State of Minnesota teaches boys and girls self reliance and good citizenship; and WHEREAS, through contemporary programs and by speaking out on issues thru affect youth and their families, today's Camp Fire is helping kids cope with their changing world; and WHEREAS, in Camp Fire, the choices and opportunities are wide open for boys and girls; and WHEREAS, through Camp Fire, young people are learning to develop confidence and gain skills needed to become tomorrow's leaders; and WHEREAS, Camp Fire is commended for the opportunities its programs offer to young people in the City of Ramsey and throughout the nation and for the many services these young people perform for their communities through Camp Fire. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of Ramsey hereby officially proclaims March 12 to March 18, 1990 as Camp Fire Birthday Week in the City of Ramsey '/'he motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of March, 1990.
