A large shopping mall, Riverdale Center, is <br />developing only a few miles to the east of Front Street. <br />The perimeter road for this center is tentatively being <br />called Riverdale Drive. <br /> <br /> 2. Because Front Street is, az~d will be, primarily <br />populated by businesses it is important to avoid confusion <br />over its location. <br /> <br /> 3. Having two different "Riverdale Drives" within a <br />few miles of each other, with both just off Highway 10, <br />would be very confusing to new customers. Because of <br />Riverdale Center's size, it would overpower Ramsey's <br />"Riverdale Drive" in terms of drawing power. <br /> <br /> As you tcDow, this street has been termed "the Front <br />Street Project" since 1987. Changing 138th Avenue N.M. to <br />Front Street makes sense technically and logically. "Front <br />Street" is an excellent name; brief, clear and descriptive. <br />Conversely, confused people would forever be looking for <br />"our" Riverdale Drive on the wrong side of Anoka. <br /> <br /> In view of the above, I urge the City of Ramsey to <br />revert to the name "Front Street" for the Highway 10 South <br />Frontage Road. <br /> <br />Thank you for your attention to this matter. <br /> <br />jan Dubats <br />Manager, Anoka Self Storage <br /> <br /> <br />
