Ramsey, MN 55303 Dear Dave: I am pleased to inform you that the Anoka County I~oard of Commissioners on ! Tuesday, February 27, 1990 did authori~.e a 15-cent per capita County subsidy for augmentation of the municipal per-hour fee paid election judges, providing the resulting pay is at least $9 per hour. This per capita payment would be bas'ed on the Metropolitan Council's county population estimates of February 23, 1990. This action was taken in conjunction with authorizing the following relating to an optical scan system with the County using the optical scan system in the 1990 elections, unless the vendor is unable to perform within an acceptable time period: e Lease a system compatible with the optical scan system to be acquired by several Anoka County municipalities. Make application to the Secretary of State's Office to operate this system under the "Experimental Use" provision of Minn. Stat. §206.18. The Courity will assume responsibility for the election programming. Enter into joint powers agreements with the municipalities for purposes of accomplishing these objectives.
