City of Ramsey

15153 NOWTHEN BOULEVARD N.W., RAMSEY, MINNESOTA 55303

(612) 427-1410

April 5, 1990

Mr. Jim Krautkramer, Mayor
City of Brooklyn Park
5800 - 85th Avenue North
Brooklyn Park, Minnesota 55443

RE: NAMING OF SCHOOL

Dear Jim:

I'm writing on behalf of the City Council of Ramsey, Minnesota to express our concern and
support over a matter affecting your community. We understand that the Anoka-Hennepin School
District will be constructing a major public facility (high school) in your community and bordering
another community and that the naming of this facility can have a lasting impact upon the cities
within our area. It is for that reason that we would like for you and other public officials to
strortgly consider a neutral or non-city name for this new public facility.

Like Brooklyn Park, the City of Ramsey struggles with its own identity from time to time and 1
understand your predicament and am prepared to assist in any way that I can.

Very truly yours,

CITY OF RAMSEY

Gary R.
