CASE #~,. <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br /> APPROVAL OF METES AND BOUNDS SUBDIVISION <br />OF SIDNEY V. SCHAUMBURG AND MARLYS M. SCHAUMBURG <br /> By: Mark S. Banwart, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background/Observations: <br /> <br />Since 1988, the City of Ramsey has been working with a number of property owners and <br />subdividers in the development of the proposed Windemere Woods Addition, Cedar Hills Addition <br />and Chestnut Hills Addition. As a part of the Chestnut Hills Addition, there is a small four acre <br />portion located in the northeast corner of the proposed plat which lies in a different quarter section. <br />The legal description of said parcel is the West 440' of the South 330' of the Southwest Quarter of <br />the Northeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Although the City has avoided the use of metes and bounds subdivisions, in this particular case, <br />the land will be further subdivided through the normal platting process will be a part of the <br />proposed Chestnut Hills Addition. Since it is going to be a pan of the Chestnut Hills Addition, <br />park dedication will be satisfied as a part of that platting process. <br /> <br />For your information, the following items are enclosed: <br /> <br />A) Site Location Map <br />B) Warranty Deed <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends metes and bounds subdivision plat approval of Mr. and Mrs. Schaumburg. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to approve/not approve the metes and bounds subdivision of the West 440' of the South <br />330' of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 32, Range 25, <br />Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator X <br />City Attorney ..X. <br />City Engineer <br />Community Development Director .
