ADDITION TO CASE #13, COUNCIL MEETING OF 4-24-90 <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-04- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OFFERING PATROL OFFICER POSITION TO SHELDON <br />ERDMAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is a vacancy in the City of Ramsey Police Department of Patrol <br />Officer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, eleven individuals from Minnesota Police Recruitment System (MPRS) <br />submitted applications for employment at the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, six of the eleven individuals were contacted and interviewed for the position <br />by Police Chief Michael Auspos and Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, one individual, Sheldon Erdman, possessed outstanding experience and <br />communication skills; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Staff recommended that the Personnel Committee interview the final <br />applicant at their April 23, 1990 meeting; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at their meeting of April 23, 1990, interviewed <br />the final applicant for the Patrol Officer position and recommended that City Council offer the <br />position of Patrol Officer to Sheldon Erdman to begin employment on May 15, 1990 with an <br />annual salary of 93% of top patrol, $30,602. The offer of employment is contingent upon <br />successful completion of physical examination, including drug and alcohol screen, and <br />psychological evaluation. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confn'm the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee to offer the position of Patrol Officer to Sheldon Erdman to begin employment <br />with the City on May 15, 1990 at 93 % of top patrol, $30,602 annually. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 24th day of April, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
