Goodrich, City Attorney <br />Status of 153rd NW Easement Acquisition <br />April 18, 1990 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />As the Council is aware, you have authorized the above project and <br />directed me to obtain the necessary right-of-way easements either <br />by direct negotiation or eminent domain. We have been working with <br />Bill Schwab of Denfield, Inc., Professional Appraisers. Mr. <br />Schwab's office has made a preliminary appraisal of each parcel and <br />contacted each parcel owner with an offer. As of this date, we <br />have been able to negotiate settlements with approximately nine of <br />the property owners and we have been unable to negotiate a <br />settlement with approximately seven of the property owners. I am <br />therefore in the process of commencing an eminent domain action <br />regarding those properties where a negotiated settlement has not <br />been reached. The lawsuit will be commenced during the week of <br />April 23, 1990. We should have access to all of the properties by <br />August 1, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
