2. No person sha.l.1 engage in bnsiness as a dealer in motor vehicle sales, repair or re,tal in the city without first obtaining a l.icc,,se as prnvided herein. 3. The application for a license shall be made in writing, signed and verified by the applicant on forms provided by the city. The application shall state the name of the applicant, his age, resi- dence, and if a partnership, the names of all partners, and shall be verified by one of them, and if a corporation, the names of all the officers thereof and certified by an authorized officer, and if addi- tional J. Jcetl,qes are appl. ied for, for more than one place of business, the addresses of st,ch addJtional places of business shall also be stated. The appl. ication shal. 1 state the business and residence address of the appl ir:ant For a period of ~ive (5) years prior to the date thereof and whether the applicant is the sole owner of the business to be condncted and shall state that no other persons than those named in the application have any interest in the management and control of such bnsiness. 4. The annual Iicense fee and expiration date shall be as provided i.n Chapter]3CtOllOof this code. 5. Each Licensee shall bare an established place of business and each license shall authorize business at only the designated prem- ises. If a .I lcensee has more titan one place of business, a separate license i.s required for each. 6. I, ic. enses issned under this chapter may not be transferred from person to person, but may be transferred from place to place with the consent of the city council. 7. Each application shall be accompanied by a bond for $2,000.00 wbic. h shall r,n to the city and be for the benefit of any person, firm or corporation who shall sustain any injury or damage covered by the bond. Such bond shall be executed by the applicant as principal and as surety, by a corporation which is licensed in this state to transact the bnsincss of fi. del ity and surety insurance. The bond shall be condi- tioned for any direct loss cansed by the principal or his agent: a. By dishonesty in the substitution of a motor vehicle or a part thereof other than the one selected by tile pnrchaser; b. For failnre to deliver a clear title to those legally entitled thereto; c. [.:or any misappropriation of monies or property belong- lng to apt, rchaser being made in payment of a motor vehicle sold by the principal; d. For any loss due to alt alteration of a motor vehicle on the part of the principal or ills agent, so as to deceive the purchaser as to the year or model of any motor vehicle sold; or e. For the violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance or applicable state or federal regulation.
