I <br /> <br />ORDINANCE g90- <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 110.07 OF THE CITY CODE, <br />IS ENTITLED "HORSES". <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br />WHICH CHAPTER <br /> <br />Chapter 110.07 of the City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />PURPOSE <br /> <br />The purpose of this chapter is: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />To prohibit the maintaining of horses on lots or parcels of record less than 1.5 acres <br />in s~ze; <br /> <br />To reauire a Conditional Use Permit prior to maintaining a horse on a lot of record <br />1.5 acres in size and less than three (3) acres in size; <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />To require the filing with the City of a sketch drawing prior to maintaining a horse <br />on a lot or parcel of recorded three (3) acres and larger in size; and <br /> <br />4) To ensure proper handling, treatment and maintenance of horses. <br /> <br />110.071 HORSE DEFINED <br /> <br />As used in this chapter, horse shall mean any stallion, mare, gelding, foal, pony, donkey, ass, <br />burro, mule or animal of horse kind. <br /> <br />110.072 ACREAGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />The following chart prescribes the number of horses that can be maintained on lots of record of <br />sizes as shown: <br /> <br />Acrea_~ <br /> <br />Less than 1.5 acres <br /> <br />',...,~ ~ -less. than 3..acres <br /> <br />3.0/acres or more <br /> <br />.Number of Horses Permitted <br /> <br /> 0 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br />24- <br /> <br />Comm en t s <br /> <br />Not permitted <br /> <br />Permitted only with <br />Conditional Use <br />Permit <br /> <br />Sketch drawing <br />required <br /> <br />One additional horse <br />for each full I/2 acre <br />over 3 acres is per- <br />mitred <br /> <br />More horses than the <br />prescribed number <br />permitted only with <br />Conditional Use <br />Permit <br /> <br /> <br />
