8.1 <br /> <br />8.2 <br /> <br />8.3 <br /> <br />8.4 <br /> <br />8.5 <br /> <br />8.6 <br /> <br />8.7 <br /> <br />ARTICLE VIII <br /> DISCIPLINE <br /> <br />The Employer will discipline Employees for just cause only. Discipline will <br />be in one or more of the following forms: <br /> <br />a) Oral reprimand; <br />b) Written reprimand; <br />c) Suspension; <br />d) Demotion; or <br />e) Discharge. <br /> <br />Suspensions, demotions and discharges will be in written form. <br /> <br />Written reprimands, notices of suspension and notices of discharge which <br />are to become part of an Employee's personnel file shall be read and <br />acknowledged by signature of the Employee. Employees and LELS will <br />receive" a' copy of such reprimands and/or notices. <br /> <br />Employees may examine their own individual personnel files at reasonable <br />times under the direct supervision of the Employer. <br /> <br />A five (5) day (regularly scheduled consecutive work days) suspension, <br />without pay, will precede any discharge order. <br /> <br />An employee will not be questioned concerning an investigation of <br />disciplinary action against that Employee unless said Employee has been <br />given an opportunity to have an LELS representative present at such <br />questioning. <br /> <br />Grievances relating to this ARTICLE shall be initiated by LELS in Step 3 of <br />the grievance procedure under ARTICLE VI. <br /> <br />1989-90 LELS Agreement (June 1, 1990 Drain) Page 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
