Goodrich, City Attorney

BACKGROUND:

I
I

As the Council is aware, the 1989 legislative amended the hours of
operation for non-intoxicating malt liquor, off-sale intoxicating
and on-sale intoxicating liquor establishments° In January, 1990,
I advised you that, unless you want the City to be more
restrictive, the hours of operation as amended by the legislature
do apply to our licensees. In order to formally provide for these
amended hours, I have prepared the enclosed three Ordinances, each
of which provide for hours of operation as permitted in the State
Statutes. These three Ordinances were introduced at the Council's
meeting on May 22, 1990.

COUNCIL ACTION:

Consider adoption of the three respective
ordinances.

MOTION:

To adopt Ordinance 90-__ which is an ordinance amending Section
130.05 of the City Code, which Section regulates the sale of "on-
sale" intoxicating liquor.

To adopt Ordinance 90-__ which is an ordinance amending Section
130.09 of the City Code, which Section regulates the sale of "off-
sale" intoxicating liquor.

To adopt Ordinance 90-__ which is an ordinance amending Section
130.04 of the city code, which Section regulates the sale of non-
intoxicating malt liquor.

Review Checklist:

Administrator
Attorney
Engineer
Community Develop-
ment Director
Environmental
Specialist

X Chief of Police X
X Finance Officer
Public Works Superintendent
Other
Fire Chief
